Emma joined the practice in 1995 having previously been both a student and registrar here. Dr Bowley’s specialist interests are Woman’s Health, Child Health and Mental Health issues. Dr Bowley now trains registrars (along with Dr Ball) who want to become GPs in the future. A former registrar who received training here is Dr Stephanie Hughes, also now a partner at the practice. Dr Bowley is married with 2 children and balances work and family life including her horse, Tom.

Dr Jane Ryan graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School, London in 1983. She completed general practice training in 1987 and worked as a sessional GP or locum for many years whilst she brought up her four children. In 2008 she joined the Curlew Practice as a partner, joining her husband Dr Patrick Ryan and Dr Clare Morrison, later moving to the Homewell.Curlew Practice when the two practices merged. Jane is interested in the full range of general practice and has taught Southampton University medical students for several years.

Dr Jennings graduated from Bristol university in 2005 and began her GP training as a registrar at the Homewell Practice in 2009, becoming a salaried doctor in 2013. She works part time with a special interest in womens health. She is married with 2 children.
Dr Clare Morrison graduated from Leicester University in 1990 and has been a GP at Havant Health Centre since 1995. She works part-time and among her medical interests are Nutrition, Fibromyalgia and Psychology. In her spare time she enjoys walking her dogs and gardening. She is married with four sons.
Sarah qualified at Portsmouth in 1994. She had previously worked within the A&E department at QAH for several years before joining the practice in 2001. She completed her BSc Nurse Practitioner course and became an independent prescriber in 2003. She has specialist skills in minor illness, paediatrics, asthma and COPD. As Lead Nurse she manages the nursing team and is responsible for the nurse led Same Day Clinic service. She was thrilled when she was asked to become a partner in the practice in 2007. She is married with two grown up children and lives locally in Portsmouth. She enjoys gardening, music and playing golf.
Julie qualified in Sheffield in 1982 and moved to Portsmouth in 1984 with her husband. She worked at St. Richard’s Hospital in Chichester for several years before becoming a practice nurse in 1992. Having worked in two local practices, Julie qualified as an Independent Nurse Prescriber in 2003 and completed her BSc Nurse Practitioner Degree in 2008, joining the practice the same year. Julie has specialist skills in asthma, COPD, CHD and diabetes. She is married with 2 children and is an active member of her local church. Her hobbies include gardening, music, reading and baking.
Tracy began her career as an HCA in 1986 at QAH where she gained her NVQ 3 in Care. Since joining the practice in May 2008 she has gained further knowledge and experience through in-house training. ”I enjoy my work immensely and find my role in the team very rewarding.” Tracy is married with 3 children and as a family, enjoys being involved with a local motor racing organisation. She also enjoys reading and cross stitch. She runs the Stop Smoking Clinics at the practice.
Our Business Manager Partner Kate Mangnall is responsible for the efficient business and financial administration of the practice.
Sue joined the practice in 2006 and as Practice Manager is responsible for the efficient administration of the practice. We realise that occasionally things do not go as smoothly as we would like. If you think this is happening to you, please inform her. She would also like to hear about things that work well.
Sally has joined the practice as joint Practice Manager with Sue Doherty, having been Practice Manager with Curlew Practice for several years preceding the practices merging. She brings a wealth of experience and is keen to know when things are going well and equally where they can be improved upon.
Jo joined the practice as Assistant Practice Manager in 2013. She brings previous experience in both the NHS and private health sectors and assists in the administration of the practice.
